Mandy L. Howey, B.S, M.S.
Mandy’s choice to become a psychotherapist came with what she calls her “midlife career adjustment”. With more than twenty years in marketing, market research and government, Mandy felt most drawn to those aspects of her career and her volunteer life that allowed her to work closely with individuals and families to discover appropriate and meaningful ways to adjust to life changes and challenges
She attended Concordia University-Milwaukee where she received her Masters in Professional Counseling. She completed an internship at Shorehaven Behavioral Health in Brown Deer, WI where she worked with families in crisis, adults with substance abuse and relationship issues, and adolescent children in the foster care system. She later joined the staff at Genesis Behavioral Services in West Bend, WI. where she worked with incarcerated adolescents, adults coping with relationship issues, domestic abusers, and persons attempting to overcome substance abuse .
Mandy enjoys working with individuals, couples and families who are dealing with life transitions. She has a strong interest in working with the families of older adults who are responsible for their aging parents, women coping with midlife changes, couples in crisis, and parents struggling with the negative behaviors of their adolescent or adult children.
