I have a passion for helping clients to better understand themselves and their journey toward wellness. My main focus is for clients to reconnect with themselves and others, learn communication skills, find inner strength, and be their own best support. I believe in starting from a place of compassion and understanding, giving clients a chance to help navigate their treatment goals.
My approach is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, working with thoughts and feelings that contribute to self-defeating behaviors. I enjoy educating clients on practicing kindness toward their suffering, applying mindfulness skills, and self-compassion.
I studied at Moraine Park Technical College, graduated with High Honors/ Phi Theta Kappa with a degree in the Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Associate program. I am certified by the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services as a Substance Abuse Counselor in Training. I am also a certified as a Hatha Yoga Teacher since 2009.
