Amy Taylor, APSW • Advanced Practice Social Worker

Welcome!

I am Amy Taylor. I obtained my Undergrad, Bachelor of Science in Social work and my Masters in Social Work from UW-Milwaukee.  The therapeutic relationship can be a very important one, based on mutual respect, trust and commitment. I approach our work together with a nonjudgmental stance. I will meet you wherever you are in your life’s journey and honor your unique strengths. I support clients in creating their most fulfilling lives, in line with their values and goals.

As an empathic listener, I help guide clients toward reaching their personal goals while learning skills to assist with challenges they face.   I believe that we all at times struggle with relationship issues, self-doubt, grief, and excessive worry – and that navigating and overcoming these are a crucial and beautiful part of this life experience.

I provide treatment for children, adolescents, adults and couples in a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to openly explore their thoughts and feelings and achieve positive change.

I use  reatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused therapy, psychoeducation, and mindfulness techniques. I encourage my clients to recognize and strengthen their own intuitive self-knowledge. I employ an honest, direct communication style combined with warmth, compassion, and some humor. I strive for a balance of embracing both change and acceptance.

I am honored to partner with you on this journey.
