Katie Liaromatis, Substance Abuse Counselor

Katherine (Katie) has nearly a decade of experience working in the addiction field, she has obtained her AODA degree from MPTC in Fond du Lac, WI and plans to return to college to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Social Work.

On top of working at Alarus Healthcare’s Beaver Dam location, Katie has received her Recovery Coach certificate and became a Trainer of recovery coaches in the state of Wisconsin for Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR). Katie has worked side by side with, and volunteered a plethora of hours for organizations like, Stop Heroin Now, Rise together, Project Semicolon, and Wisconsin Siblings United.

Katie’s passion for this field comes from wanting to educate individuals about the disease of addiction and breaking the stigma that surrounds it. Katie’s approach to counseling is centered at meeting her clients where they are to address their individual needs, cognitive behavioral therapy, and exploring new alternative healing pathways to recovery. Katie emphasizes the importance of building trust with her clients and creating a safe, non-judgmental environment.
