Mental Health Counseling

From teenagers grappling with self-image concerns to individuals coping with anger management difficulties or recurring thoughts of suicide, Alarus’ mental health counselors specialize in providing psychotherapy and other interventions tailored to assist and treat people across all age demographics. Our services encompass individual, couples, and family counseling, catering to a wide spectrum of ages from children as young as five to the elderly.

Clients are assessed and given a specific treatment plan that could include individual sessions, group sessions or both. Individual or group mental health sessions are booked with our office staff or clinicians in-person or by phone.

Substance Use Disorder (AODA) Counseling Services

Our treatment philosophy is based on the recognition that alcohol and drug addiction is a disease and that abstinence is the best way to manage the condition. We approach addiction treatment as a whole life change to help implement the components to bring about a healthy life. Group outpatient, individual outpatient, Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Driver’s Safety Plans (DSP).

Clients are assessed and given a specific treatment plan that could include individual sessions, group sessions or both. Individual or group AODA sessions are booked with our office staff or clinicians in-person or by phone.

IOP and Day Treatment for Dual Diagnosis Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder

Sometimes problems with substances get so severe that you may need more help. This is where we look at moving you up to a higher level of treatment. Options include hospitalization or residential treatments, which can sometimes last for months. In some cases there other alternatives though. Alarus offers intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), which lasts12 hours per week and Day Treatment, which lasts 16 hours per week. These programs that are offered at our site in and outpatient setting where you can still maintain your current living situations and may even be able to continue working during your treatment.

Additionally Offered Services

 

Prescriptions for Mental Health and AODA. Alarus’ Healthcare Prescriber Works with You On-Site or in the Privacy of Your Own Home via Telehealth Systems

Alarus collaborates with many resources to obtain MAT for patients  to treat all addictions, in addition to providing treatment with buprenorphine (Suboxone and Vivitrol ) also treating depression, anxiety, PTSD and lack of energy that often accompany Opiate Dependence. Must be attending regular counseling session to qualify. Appointments are booked with our office staff by phone.

 

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). Prescriptions for Opioid, Heroin, and Alcohol Addiction. Alarus’ Healthcare Prescriber Works with You On-Site or in the Privacy of Your Own Home via Telehealth Systems

E.M.D.R. (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) Therapy

  • EMDR uses rapid eye movements (REM) or other bilateral movements to aid in the processing of negative events or experiences (these eye movements are similar to REM sleep patterns). Much of our healing processes (mental, physical, take place during sleep). EMDR uses this natural process to aid in healing and modifying the response to these events. Appointments are booked with our office staff by phone.

Telehealth Services

  • All appointments (with the exception of intake appointments) can be offered via telehealth services. Our office utilizes RingCentral video conference software, which is similar to Zoom. If you have a telehealth appointment, you will receive an email that has a link to your RingCentral meeting approximately 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment start time from your clinician.  Appointments are booked with our office staff by phone.

 

Deferred Prosecution Agreements (DPA)

Alarus provides Group and individual treatment for patients dealing with legal issues. Our office proudly provides counseling services and works with the county District Attorney in order to serve the community at all locations. Please note that insurance is accepted for DPA patients for the Grafton and Beaver Dam clinics; we are unfortunately unable to accept insurance for DPA patients in Washington County. We offer payment plans for all services, please speak to reception staff when making an appointment if you would like to set a payment plan. Assessments for Deferred Prosecution Treatment (DPA) are booked with our office staff by phone.
